Nantwich Lodge, Hwange National Park
Nantwich Lodge is a small, intimate eco-lodge reclaimed from a bygone-era Zimparks outpost in the remote northern reaches of Hwange National Park, perched on a bluff overlooking a large dam frequented by resident crocodile, hippo and passing herds. The area is affectionately known as Big Cat Country for its high density of lion and other predators, and Nantwich is the closest lodge in Hwange to Victoria Falls.
Nine en-suite suites, including a honeymoon suite, are spread out from the main lodge for privacy, with an open lounge, dining area and library built from natural wood in a rustic-luxury style. Days are shaped around guided bush walks and game drives led by an experienced local guiding team, with a swimming pool and spa for quieter moments between activities.
